Here is a new video of Lauren from tonight as well. She was running circles around our center island for awhile before we got out that video camera. You can also see her favorite peek-a-boo hiding spot in this video. She loves herself some peek a boo!

18 months
Here is the 'Lauren is 18 months old' update. It's very hard to believe that our baby is already 1.5 years old. She's going to be two before we know it!! She's growing so much every day. It's so hard for us to see the changes since we see her everyday, but it's so evident to those who don't see her quite as often. She's getting taller and I moved her into a bigger sized diaper. She'll have her 18 month check up on Thursday and then we'll know her official stats.
She's also speaking so much more now. Today she said "Mine mine mine" (much to my dismay,) and "cracker" (at snack time.) When she was done with her snack she said "woof woof" to ask for her doggy (too bad she didn't say "doggy," but that's a word for another day.)
(Don't mind the wet shirt, we had just finished dinner and her Daddy cleaned her up, so there's probably still some rogue spaghetti sauce in these pics.)
A visit with Grammy
It had been so long since I had seen Grammy that she braved terrible winds and white out conditions on Friday afternoon to come and visit me. We had a lot of fun together. She was worried that I would have forgotten who she was. That's so silly though. I was very excited to see her and we played all day Friday & Saturday. She just left today and I sure was sad to see her leave.
Here's a picture that shows just how quickly I move. Grandma took this picture of me while Mommy and Daddy went to Church.
Here's a picture of me waving bubye to Mama and Daddy out the window. Grandma was excited to report that I said "Bubye Mama, Bubye Daddy" when they were leaving. That's a really big sentence.
Here's a picture of me and my Grammy. I'm not actually afraid of her, like this picture looks. I was just trying to poke her in the nose. I like to do that.

New Gymbo
Mommy was super excited to see that my new Gymboree order had arrived when we got home from Lunch today. She managed to control her excitement until I woke up from my nap and had a snack. After I washed my hands it was time to try on my new stuff. I wasn't as cooperative as I could have been so you'll have to excuse the pictures.
Everything is still a bit big, because it's the next size up for Spring and Summer wear.
Special "THANKS" to Mommy's Secret Santa Barb (Erin's Mommy, from Bugaboo's Blog) who got her the Gymboree Gift Card that she so happily used on this order. Thanks Barb!!! :)
Then Mommy taught me how to use the camera to take a picture. It was really really neat to see the picture on the screen and hold down the button. I see a "My 1st digital camera" in my future, probably around my birthday in July. Here are my first ever photographs.
Mommy had to laugh at how the pictures turned out. But, then she said that they're better than almost ALL of the pictures that Daddy takes of her.

Daddy Blogging: The Bean's Difficult Evening
Lauren really started to miss Mommy. She wanted to see her so badly that she started demanding that we go 'bye bye.' She grabbed her shoes and brought them to me saying 'bye bye.' Then she started walking around the house saying 'Mama' over and over again. She also grabbed her coat and hat and asked to go bye bye again. She even went so far as to start packing up her diaper bag. She was still crying the whole time too. She cried for nearly two straight hours.
Finally we called up grandma and talked to her for a while. That was able to calm her down for a while. And then, just before bathtime, Mommy came home from work! Lauren was so happy to see her mommy again, and Mommy was sad to hear how much Lauren missed her. It was a beautiful family reunion.

Mario Kart beanitude
Last night our neighbors Phil & Janet came over. I was sleeping so I missed out on the fun, but they brought their Mario Kart game over and Mommy & Daddy got to play it with them. Today I got to try it out a bit too. It's fun.
Phil & Janet also came over to watch the football game tonight. Mommy made a yummy dinner and Janet brought delicious brownies. I had fun playing with everyone until it was time to go to sleep. Janet and Phil are very nice to me. They're going to have a baby in April, so I think they like the practice I provide them.

It's been awhile...
Sorry I've been engrossed in a world of sparkly vampires. I read all 4 books in the twilight saga (many thousands of pages) in about 4.5 days. I just couldn't put them down. I watched the movie tonight and was so disappointed. I think Edward will just have to live in my mind from now on...
Anyway, back in the real world, nothing much is new. It's still cold out, the bean is still beanie.
Here's a picture of both of our new obsessions. Lauren's obsession is books. There are never enough and she wants to read them all the time. My (ok, pre-twilight) new obsession is Matilda Jane clothing. Lauren is pictured here in a dress that I stayed up half the night for and when I eventually did go to sleep I had dreams about (true story, ask Kevin.) Anywho, it's still too big but I think it'll be a cute dress come summer and a great tunic w/ ruffle pants or tights for years to come. It wasn't the exact one I wanted, but it's so much more gorgeous in person. The pictures really don't do it justice.
Here's one of Lauren enjoying some chocolate pudding the other day. Stay warm! I'm going to go back to dreaming of gorgeous vampires now.

Messy Bessy
Here's a couple of pics of me after having some applesauce with dinner tonight. (Don't mind the Devilish eyes, kev took these pics.)
Another bruise to come
I bonked my head while playing on Wednesday night. It made me sad. I felt kind of cuddly afterwards so I indulged in a little snuggling.

Lauren's new dress
Here's a few pics of Lauren in a new dress. As you may or may not know, I'm kind of into baby clothes and Lauren's wardrobe. This set is a Deux par Deux dress. It's very festive and bright and I bought it as a Jan/Feb Valentines day outfit.
Funny thing, I told Lauren to smile in this picture and she did. Maybe I should ask more often?
Playing peek a boo behind her curtains is a fun time for the beanitude.

Kind of Random
Here is a picture of me trying out my new travel booster seat. Mama thought I should have a traveling one just in case.
[Disclaimer: she's wearing a mismatched outfit because she trashed the matching top at lunch. LOL!]
Now this next picture Mommy ran to get the camera and said something about some day I'll hurt her for taking this picture. She also mentioned something about a Plumber. The only Plummer I know is Amanda and Lexi. Daddy mentioned something about taking after Mommy in this one.

Go Vikings
Daddy and I dressed up to watch the Vikings game today. Whenever someone says "touchdown" or "Go Vikings" I do this:
Too bad that they had to go and lose the game though. Daddy sure was sad when they didn't win.

For my Hair Pretties
Check out what Mommy made me to help organize my hair pretties. It's really fun to play with too.
Looks like it's not full yet, I think I need more!!
More Pigtails
Mommy is really excited that she can put my hair into pigtails. I don't like it quite as much as she does. It kind of hurts when she's doing it. She convinces me to sit still by singing songs though, so I guess it's not that bad.
Kisses for Daddy on New Years Eve
It's been awhile since Mommy and I have sat down to update my blog. It took me awhile before I started to feel like myself again. Here are a couple of pictures of us on New Years Eve. Check out my new pigtail look. I think it makes me look almost 3..hehhehe.
