16 months

Daddy turned me into superman

Daddy changed my diaper this morning (it was a desperate need) but didn't know what to put on me for clothing.  He didn't want to put something on me that Mommy wouldn't approve of, so he did this instead.

Cleaning time

I found some fun tools to play with today.  Mommy tried to teach me how to sweep the floor.  Grammy thinks it's time I get my own sized broom and stuff to play with.

This is what I do when I'm asked, "How big is Lauren?"  I also do this to "Touchdown" and "Go Vikings!"

Cooking in the kitchen

Here I am using all of my (mama's) fun kitchen tools.  I got to help make dinner tonight.

My first artwork

I painted my first picture with a real paintbrush and paint today at ECFE.  Mama was freakin' out at first because I ran over to the easel and just started painting without stopping to put on a paint shirt first.  Mama stopped me and made me put on a shirt to protect the new outfit I was wearing.  Anyway, here it is.  It's a turkey.

Mama said she wasn't going to hang stuff on her pretty stainless steel refrigerator, but she was so proud she just had to hang it up.

Playing with Papa

Time to catch up...

It's been a very busy week and weekend in our house.  I know that I haven't updated my blog as much as you're used to, but I just haven't had time.  Mommy and Daddy have been working very hard on our basement.  Mommy also subbed a lot last week and just hasn't had the time to help me write about my days.  Here are some pictures and comments about what's been going on in our lives.

Here I am after dumping out a bag of mini cheez its that I found in my diaper bag.  I like to dig around and unpack it and Mommy really needs to remember to zip it up when she's not using it.  You can see that Mommy doesn't look very happy about what I've done.

Here I am with a super cool gymbo cowboy hat that Mommy bought for me awhile ago.  I just noticed it again and kind of like it now.  I don't keep it on for too long, but I sure am cute while it lasts (says Mama.)

Here I am having some Italian ravioli.  I can use my fork and spoon but prefer my hands most days.

I sure was a messy girl.

My first cookie and snow day

It was delicious.  It was a peanut butter cookie with little mini peanut butter cups on the top.  I think Mommy held out quite a long time before giving me a cookie (15.5 months is a long time!!)

Mama says that I have extra big gopher cheeks in this picture.

It SNOWED!!!  All of the white stuff came down on Friday and has stayed around so far.  Mommy says it might melt though, so I should be prepared to say goodbye to it until later.

Snow is COLD!!  Brrrrr!
