The Great Plains Zoo

Thursday night Mommy, Daddy & I headed down to Gaa Gaa & Papa's house.  Then, we left bright and early Friday morning for Sioux Falls, SD.  We did a lot of fun things like go to the zoo, swim, shop, play, swim, ride go carts and swim.  Here are some pictures of the great time we had.

Here are two Gibbon's.  They were very very loud.  The tiny baby was very cute.

Here we are feeding the peacock.  I was able to get really close to it.  It was pretty friendly and definitely the most tame peacock I've ever seen.

Here I am feeding the goats and other various critters found in the Children's Barnyard.

The Giraffe's wouldn't come up to the observation deck so we had to peek through the gates at them.  In the picture on the left, you can see the baby giraffe coming up behind the bigger one.  They were sooooo big!

My favorite part of the zoo was the train ride. I just love the "Choo-Choos"

I also loved the Carousel.  It was made with real zoo animals.  The first time I picked the gorilla.  Then, I picked the dolphin.  Mommy thought it looked like a lot of fun so she took a ride on the elephant.

 

 

Back to school

It's back to school time and I'm sure I'll be a very good student.  I will work hard and read all my assignments.  College isn't easy but I'm sure with my stellar parents I'll finish in under 4 years and graduate Summa Cum Laude. 

OOOOOkaaaay, it's not college time, not for me yet, but college classes do resume tomorrow so Daddy will probably have a lot more to deal with at work very soon.  Tonight, we went to campus to take care of a couple of things and then we went to go see the water fountain.  It's my FAVORITE!!  I love to watch it, it's very very pretty.  Here are some back to school pictures taken on the Mall and around the CSU.

Mommy says she's going to take this exact picture of me in 2025 when I go to MSU.  Daddy then asked, "What if she doesn't come here?"  Mommy laughed and said that even if I don't go to MSU, she's going to take it anyway.

Here I am already making friends and chatting with people in the Student Union.  PS Did you know that MSU's Basketball team won a National Championship this past season?  Hopefully they can do it again when I play for them...sometime around the 2025-2026 season.  I had fun pointing out all of the "ball(s)" in the pictures.

 

Here is Daddy and I outside of Barnes & Noble @ MSU.  I was really excited to floss my teeth with the tether to Daddy's badge.  Daddy was excited for the picture though.  Mommy said something about a Mavericks Cheerleader outfit for me this winter. 

The Fair

Today Mommy & Daddy came back to GaaGaa & Papa's house to spend some time with me and then take me back home.  Mommy said that she missed me while I was gone.  We spent a little time at the fair and I got to ride a few more rides.  I went on the merry-go-round twice, the airplanes twice and on a car ride once.  I would have rode the cool alligator roller coaster but they were having engine problems so daddy wouldn't have been able to go on it with me (and Mommy insisted an adult go with me because it's kind of a scary ride.)  Here are some fun pictures of the Fair.

The baby pony was sleeping.  It was very interesting to see him sleep standing up.

These goats sure were fun.  I'm yelling, "GOOOOOOAT!" in the second picture.  Sorry about the sun and the flash, it's kind of hard to look at that one.

I loved the airplanes.  They went up and down while going in a circle. 

Mama's new glasses

Today Mommy and I went to Windom for an eye exam.  I stayed with GaaGaa while "Uncle Michael" checked her eyes.  Everyone at the office was super bummed that Mommy didn't bring me with to the exam, especially Pat (Michael's Mom.)  Later, Mommy brought me back down after she made up her mind on the frames.  Pat stuffed me full of candy and Michael had fun showing me around and quizzing me on my animal sounds.  Here are a couple of pictures of Mommy and me in her final two frame choices.

The Park

Did you know  that I'm such a big girl I can get on the toys at the park all by myself now?

Here I am feeding the goats at Sibley.  I finally got up the nerve to give it a try and it wasn't too bad. 

The Safari Band

Tonight we went to the ECFE open house and saw the safari band play.  They were very good.  I sat in my chair almost the whole time.

I got a little bored at the end so I ran down to Kyle (Elliot's daddy) and made faces at him.  He likes to make silly faces at me.

Later on, I played in the 2-3's room.  Last year at the open house that room was a bit too big and mature for me, but this year it was just right!

Even later, we got a visit from Uncle Jay.  Mommy and Daddy haven't seen him since their wedding because he lives in Montana and doesn't get to visit very often.  They were very excited to have him spend a night and I was excited to meet him.  He let me sit on his cool motorcycle (that he rode from Montana..EEK!)

Uncle Jay is really cool.  He even let Elmo try on his motorcycle helmet.  Elmo liked it!

Dress up time

Today, a birthday gift came for me.  Imagine my surprise when I opened up and there was a real crown inside.  Mommy says it's a pretend crown for playing dress up, but she's wrong, it's my princess crown.  It came all the way from Pike's Market in Seattle.  Thanks so much to my Godfather Ryan for the awesome gift and super nice thoughts in the card.  We missed you too.

Music Together

Today, we met a bunch of friends for a Music together get together.  I love Music together and Andrea is a wonderful teacher and person.  She has visited Mommy's classes and presented for her several times.  I'm hoping it will fit into my busy schedule for fall as it's a real blast!!  Mommy didn't get to take too many pictures because she was busy singing and dancing around with me. 

Playgroup Tuesday

Incase you haven't figured it out by now, I meet my friends to play every Tuesday.  This week we played and swam at a friend's house.  I was very excited to swim, but didn't do much of it.  Here are some fun pictures.

 

I couldn't quite reach the pedals.  Maybe by next summer I'll be able to ride a little bicycle.
