My Weekend

I had a low key weekend.  We didn't really do much, but it was nice to play outside and go for walks.  Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Here's a during and after shot of the hair clip Mommy made for me.  She used Swarovski crystal beads to make it.  It will be really shiny and sparkly with a good camera.  She made it special for me to wear when I'm a flower girl in Auntie Tiffany's wedding in July.  The dress just came in and luckily Gaa Gaa & Papa were in Duluth at the time.  The brought it back home for me and it's a good thing too because it's a bit big.  Mommy's going to wait until July to get it altered in hopes I grow an inch and then we won't need to hem the bottom.  The sides and shoulder straps however, will definitely need to be taken in.

Here's a silly picture of part of my lunch today.  Mommy thought the alphabet tator tots were hilarious and had to pick out the letters for my name.  I didn't eat them all, but I sure tried.

Here Fishy Fishy

Mommy is obsessed with the Tropical Garden line from Gymboree.  It came out last spring/summer and mommy bought me a couple of outfits from it last year.  Over the winter, she got the wild idea to collect as much of it as she could for me to wear this summer.  The outfit I'm wearing in the following pictures was the most popular piece of the line and was a challenge for mommy to locate.  Of course, after she collected almost every piece of it, Gymboree re-released the line for their outlet stores.  Mommy was a bit sad, but still happy that I have the pieces she wanted.  You've already seen me in quite a few pieces from this line, (and you'll have to wait until next summer for the matching swim suit as it's too big yet,) but here is mommy's favorite.

 

The matching fishy shoes didn't last long.  They felt funny.  Whoever thought these were a good idea for toddlers was wrong!

"Oh HAI!" is my favorite phrase.  Daddy says it to me all the time in his high pitched LOLcat voice.

Here I am concentrating on the steps.  I'm really good at going down "big girl style" as long as I have something to hold on to.  If I don't have anything to hold on to, I like to "play it safe" and shimmy down on my bottom in a sitting position.

Lauren's new BFF

Nope it's not Paris Hilton, it's her 2nd cousin.  Kevin and 2nd cousin's mom (my 1st cousin) are on the same volleyball team.  It's so precious to see them play together.  I think they both enjoy each others company.  B get's to play 'little mommy' to Lauren and Lauren just loves to play and have attention lavished on her.

Here's Lauren entertaining the team after the match and adjusting the boundaries in hopes of Daddy's team winning more than one game next Thursday.

This was also the first time Lauren has been without shoes outside.  She did not like the feel of sand on her feet and in between her toes.  She said, "Owie owie shoes please."

Gymnastics!

Today was the last day of Gymnastic class for this session.  I had a really fun time today because I got to be with even more of my friends.  Since we didn't have class on Monday, we joined a different class to make it up.  3 of my friends were in today's class along with my 2 friend from Monday's class.  It was a blast!

Here I am waving and saying "Hi" to my teacher.  I get kind of nervous when I have to jump down from something, since I'm used to playing it safe.

When it's not my turn I get to play with the puzzles and games.

The beam is my favorite.

My friend Livi's Grandma was nice enough to hold me up while Mama took this picture.   I'm not quite strong enough to hang by myself from the rings.  I prefer to hang from the bars (and can do that one all by myself.)

Funnily enough though, Lauren came home with her face just as full of dirt and sand as she did in '08.  I guess some things just don't change. :) LOL

Memorial Day

We hung out with the Good Family on Memorial Day this year (just like last year.)  We had a fun time and I got to pet the kitty.  I love kitties.  Thanks for the good time, Good Family! :)

Here I am beeping Elliot's nose and giving his daddy, Kyle, "the Goat."  Daddy asked me to give him the goat, but I told him no (well, I actually yelled no and ran away.)  About 30 seconds later Mommy caught me giving Kyle "the goat" instead.
