Happy Halloween!

Today was Halloween and it was a busy day.  We had our family pictures taken for Christmas and for the first time ever Mommy was not very happy with the results.  They managed to get a couple of acceptable ones but not the overwhelming greatness that we're used to. Bummer!  I was just excited for it to get dark out so we could go Trick-or-treating.  Here are some fun pictures of our evening.

These pictures were taken before we went to a friend's Halloween party.  On our way to the Halloween party we saw this and had to stop for pictures.

Mommy thought the Wienermobile looked pretty posh inside and wanted to take it for a spin!

Pumpkin Carving

I had a blast carving pumpkins tonight.  Papa had a couple of days off from work so they decided to come and spend them with me (so Mommy and Daddy could go to a Halloween party on Sat and a movie on Sun.)  We made Elmo, Cookie Monster and The count out of our pumpkins.  I had a fun time scooping out the seeds.

Daddy says that the MSU reporter makes for great counter cover since they haven't published much of anything good yet this semester.

Daddy made the Count, Mommy did cookie monster and GaaGaa & Papa helped me with Elmo.  Papa got a little creative at the end when he decided it was going to be too hard to do the tiny lines, so he just made them up.  I thought it looked good but Mommy and Daddy laughed at Elmo and said it didn't look like him.

Shake it

Check out my shakin' dress.  Mommy thought this would be a super fun and pretty dress but it turns out, it's actually a shirt and the boutique we bought it from had it mis-marked.  It's really cute but Mommy sized up for longevity (since it was a bit pricey) and as you can see it's a bit short (for a size 3 when I barely fit into a 2.)  Needless to say, it will be going back.  Bummer though, because I really like it.

Mommy would like me to point out that I don't ever get to play on the table, but she put me up there so she could see the dress up close and take a good picture.  She said it was kind of like a runway and then laughed at the way I pranced around.

L is for Lauren

Mommy was super impressed with my knowledge this morning at breakfast.  She's mentioned before that L is my special letter since my name starts with it and has shown me how to write it and say it properly, but hasn't done too much other than that.  Boy, did I surprise her when I made L's out of my breakfast.  I was eating my breakfast egg and sausage strudel when I told her that I made an L.  She was super impressed and then when I told her I made "2 L's" she was really excited. Check them out.

Then, later today we had a big old playgroup at Elliot's house.  I had such a fun time!

I took Abby Cadabby for a walk in the stroller and then thought she could use a little more entertainment so I put her into Baby Mary's swing.  She seemed to enjoy it.

I ended the evening with a little volleyball.  I watched Daddy's team practice.  Their indoor season starts next week and they've been working hard!

My mustache

Check out my new mustache.  My crayons are washable (which is great for the walls.)  However, they seem to leave quite a bit of residue on my hands and face.

Trick or Treat

Today Mommy and I went trick or treating at an assisted living facility just down the road from us.  It was fun and it didn't take me too long to get the hang of it.  Here are some pictures:

Mommy even dressed up as ketchup to go with my Cheeseburger!

My costume doesn't allot me to sit down very well but I didn't want to stand up for the picture.  I did however, enjoy the sucker and other treat I ate after we were all done TOT'ing.

My kitty hat

Check out my kitty hat and my kitty.  Here I am in the car on the way to Gaa Gaa & Papa's house.  Mommy had to run there to get her hair colored before we have Christmas pictures taken next weekend.

Here I am "riding a horsey."  Daddy wanted to go to the Pizza Ranch (it's his favorite) so Mommy agreed even though she didn't want to.

Set the table

Did you know that I can set the table.  Here I am helping out.  I even got to help pick out which fun plates we were going to eat with.  I picked one of each (monkey, crab and veggies.)

My booboo

I bumped my head today.  It hurt quite a bit.  I asked Mommy for a band aid to make the pain go away.  Incase you weren't aware...band aids have magical properties and can make your ailments go away.  Just check mine out.

Sticker fun

IMG_7644IMG_7646

GaaGaa was here this morning when I woke up.  She didn't have to work this week so she decided to come up and see me at gymnastics.  Poor Papa had to work so he had to stay home.  I miss papa but gaagaa brought stickers!  Boy were they fun!

Spiders everywhere

IMG_7636

Today at school I made a spider headband.  I wore it for quite a long time before getting sick of it and taking it off.

Here I am modeling my new Chucks.  They're my very first pair of tie shoes.  I really like them.

IMG_7639IMG_7643

Here I am putting my new big girl pillow into my crib.  I had a smaller pillow before but Mommy wanted to start my transition to a big girl bed.  So the bumpers are now out of my crib and so is the smaller pillow.  Maybe next month well take the front off of my crib and put up the toddler rails.

Sunday

We hung out at home today and watched the Vikings game.  GO VIKINGS!  Mommy forgot to take a picture of me until it was almost bedtime.  Check out my cute ponytail (and fun mismatched jammies!)

Emma Krumbees

Today we took a Trip to Belle Plaine for visit Emma Krumbees and pick out some pumpkins.  Grandpa John & Grandma Pat also came with.  The weather wasn't as warm as we would have liked it to be, but we were just thankful that the sun was out and it wasn't raining (or snowing!)

This year I was able to go down the slide all by myself (daddy was pleased that he didn't have to cram himself down it with me this year.)  I also fed the goats all by myself (and after my feed ran out, I figured out that if I swept my hands along the bottom of the machine I could get enough out to feed them again.)

I also really enjoyed singing, dancing and playing along to the music in the entertainment tent this year.
