Caturday video video

Lauren loves herself some furry kitties.  She has a meowing kitty (thanks to Elliot) that she plays with a lot.  She also knows that the word gato means cat and will meow when you say gato.  She's one smart cookie!  While I was at the gym tonight, Kevin was apparently checking up on his Google reader (love it!) and saw a video posted on one of our fave blogs, the LOLcats.  Here's the video he watched.

Anyhow, Kevin apparently thought the video was funny because he watched it twice.  Then, Lauren asked to watch it again, and again and again.  She loved it too.  She loved it so much Kevin made a video of her watching said kitty video.

Today was a very very rainy day.  They puddle at the end of our driveway wasn't as big as I would have liked it to be, so we borrowed a deeper puddle from our neighbor.

Mommy says that I'm not always a fashion plate.  Sometimes I'm a fashion victim (like when I play in the rain, get my outfit all wet and mommy just throws purple pants on with my red shirt.)

21 months

Welcome Baby!

Mommy & Daddy went to the hospital today because our neighbor (and friends) had their first baby.  Mommy knew something was up yesterday when she didn't see them.  It turns out that they had they baby last night around 7:30.  Daddy was so excited to go see the new baby that he wanted to leave work early. 

While Daddy and Mommy were gone I played with Gaa Gaa & Papa.  Papa had another appointment with the doctor today.  He finally gets to go back to work on Monday.  I think he's pretty happy about that.

This is my sad face because I didn't get to go with to visit Phil & Janet.

Grandma got me my own apron at a craft fair.  Now when I help out in the kitchen I can match mommy's apron.

Warm Weather

Today was a nice warm day outside so Mommy broke out a new outfit for me to wear.  They're supposed to be ankle length capri pants but they look more like high water regular pants for the time being.  Mommy said something about putting me on a stretcher and stretching out my legs.

It was super duper windy out today.  Check out my hair blowing in the breeze.

Last day of Toddler class

We had a little party for my last day of Toddler class.  Next year Mommy is going to register me for a pre-preschool class.  Mommy got a little teary eyed and kept talking about how big I'm getting.  Speaking of big, I have a new project for summer....GYMNASTICS!!  I'm starting a parent/tot gymnastics class on Monday.  I'm very excited!!

I don't share well

I got another special treat this weekend.  A Dilly bar.  DQ West is the only place where they sell exotic flavors so we thought we should try a couple.  Mama got me a bubble gum flavored dilly and a banana-chocolate for herself.  I asked her for a bite of hers and liked it so much I didn't want to give it back.  Luckily, Mama didn't mind the bubble gum so we traded for awhile until I decided I wanted them both.  Unfortunately, Mama said that I had to share.

Today Mama, Gaa Gaa, Papa and I drove to "The Cities."  We went to Trader Joes and the Minnetonka General Store.  I didn't like the car ride, but that is pretty typical for me.  I think Mama felt so bad about the car ride she decided to get me a treat.

After the "Cool Treat" we went to Sibley park to see the animals.  It wasn't as dark as it looks in the pictures.

Just call me punchy

Today I got a set of punch balls.  Mama & Daddy seem to play with them more than I do right now, but that's ok.  They're a lot of fun.

Another visit with Gaa Gaa & Papa

Grandma & Grandpa came back to visit me this week.  Grandpa still is unable to work because of the surgery on his hand.  If you're wondering why I'm naked it's because Mommy was trying to get me to try on a couple of outfits and I wasn't really interested.  So, I decided to snuggle up instead.  I'm still not feeling the greatest today.

A Rough day

I had a rough day on Tuesday.  I didn't sleep very well on Monday night and woke up feeling very very warm on Tuesday.  After a trip to the doctor, I fell asleep on Mommy & Daddy's bed.  Mommy didn't even get to make the bed.  I also took two napes. Daddy says that he knows something is definitely wrong when I take more than one nap per day.

Easter

Mommy and I had matching dresses for Easter but you really wouldn't know it because I didn't want my picture taken.

Here I am with "my doggy."  I like to pet him, kiss him, and sit on him like a pony.  He doesn't do much, which Mommy says is, "just the right kind of doggy."

My Easter Weekend

I had a busy (Long) Easter Weekend.  Since Mommy was on Spring break we didn't have to run around much, so we relaxed a lot.  Gaa Gaa & Papa came up on Thursday night (as Grandpa needed another surgery to fix some adhesions from his last hand surgery.)  We had a really fun time just playing and snuggling.  They also brought me a big Easter gift and let me have it EARLY.  It's a really neat-o picnic table for the deck.

Here it is hanging out in our living room.  Mommy says it has to go outside soon.

Here I am sharing an ice cream with Papa.  Notice his left hand is all wrapped up?  It was after his surgery.  I'm also wearing a new vintage Gymbo dress.  Mommy just happened to have the matching leggings sitting in a pile so I had a total matching outfit.  I like the umbrellas, they remind me of my rainboots (which I love!)

I can climb the ladder and go down the slide all by myself now.  I was unable to do it last summer.  The slide is really fast!
