Another day at school

Here are a couple of pictures of me at school.  We won't have class next week because of spring break, so Mommy will be off from work all week too.  We might go to the Children's museum with our friends instead of class.

Here I am talking with Miss Arlene.  She's the assistant in the class and is so nice and a lot of fun.  She's kind of like another grandparent to all of us little ones.

Notice the play chicken leg on the table?  Shortly after this picture was taken,  I held it up to Mama (through the house window) and said "bak bak bak." (Like a chicken does.)  I know where my food comes from.

My new swimsuit

Mommy bought me my very first two piece swimsuit.  Now I have two suits for summer as we plan to swim a LOT!

IMG_5645IMG_5647

You might wonder why I'm in the kitchen.  It's because I ran away from Mama while she was trying to snap a picture of me trying on the swim suit.  I think it's a little big on me now, so it should be great throughout the summer and fall.

Here I am after trying on the swim suit.  Mommy is desperate for me to wear all of my cute spring clothes, so she just put some leggings on under this dress and sweater set.  Bring on the warmer weather!!

Daddy Blogging: Breakfast with Daddy

This morning I got up with Mommy and she fed me breakfast while Daddy slept in for a little bit.  Later on, when Daddy woke up he decided that he wanted to eat some breakfast of his own, and he let me help a bit!  Then we got to the best part, I got to eat some of Daddy's breakfast.

Daddy decided he was going to make eggs, and he wanted to try out a new trick he picked up from Grandma Pat while we were up in Duluth.  It worked out perfectly.  First, Daddy got out the pan and the eggs.  Then he had me hand him an egg and watch while he cracked it into the pan.  Then I got to throw away the shell and hand him another egg.  It was a little messy, but it was fun and we managed to not break any eggs in places where they shouldn't be broken.  Then I got to sit on the counter and watch while Daddy put the eggs on the heat.  He covered them up for a couple minutes, and when he took the cover back off, they had started to change color!  They were more white than clear now.  Then Daddy separated the eggs a bit and added some water and covered them up again.  A few minutes later he said they were done and I couldn't wait to try them.  Daddy said something about the eggs being perfect when he finished.

Then we sat down to eat the eggs.  Most people know that I'm not a big fan of eggs, but since I helped cook them I figured I should try a few bites.  And you know what?  They weren't as bad as I thought.  I ended up eating a whole egg of my own.  Daddy would give me a bite, and then I would eat it quickly and ask for another.  I had some of his toast too.  I guess I was still a little hungry after my first breakfast.  I thought the egg whites were alright, but the yolky parts were really good.

Then I had a great idea!  What if I took a bite of egg, sucked off all the yolky parts and gave the whites back to Daddy to eat?  It was a stroke of genius.  So I took a bite of egg and sucked off the yolk.  Then I waited for Daddy to lean in and talk to me (we sit close together when we eat breakfast) and I took the white egg out of my mouth and shoved it into his.  I guess Daddy only likes to yolks too because he immediately spit out the eggs and told me not to put food in people's mouths.

After breakfast, I played on my Zebra with Daddy and we let Mommy catch a short nap.  It was a good morning.  I hope the rest of the day goes like this.

Spring planting

Today Mommy took me to the greenhouse for a make-and-take.  We planted two plants today and we can pick them up around Mother's Day.  We did one plant last year and it got sooooooo big!

Mommy said I was being uncooperative so she sent in Daddy to help me hold the sign.  I responded with a little side eye action.

Duluth-Saturday

We met John & Tara for lunch at Jitters on Saturday.  I had a blast hanging out, dancing, climbing the steps, and playing in the water fountain.

After my nap, Grandpa John, Grandma Pat, Mommy, Daddy and I went to an indoor fun park.  They had a special toddler area that also included the carousel, which just happens to be MY FAVORITE!!  Luckily Grandma & Grandpa Thompson's camera had plenty of batteries left so I could share some pictures with you.

Duluth-Friday

Friday was another fun and busy day.  It wasn't nearly as nice outside though, it snowed a few inches.  We went to see Grandma Georgie in the morning.  We had lunch with her and she had a few Easter presents for me.  Mommy didn't realize that she took most of the pictures with Georgie's camera so she's a little sad that she doesn't have any pictures of me with Georgie.

Here I am playing with a Sleepy doll that Georgie had.  On the right Daddy is playing with my new sheep.  It was a gift from Grandma Georgie and now sits in my reading chair by the afghan she made for me before I was bornl

Grandpa John bought me a new toy.  It's a neat-o car that drives itself.

Here I am having my favorite snack (mandarin oranges) while Grandpa John looks on.

Mommy was feeling very yucky so she napped while I napped and then we met some more family for dinner at Red Lobster (to celebrate the 3rd anniversary of Daddy's 29th birthday.)

Here I am with Grandma Suzan

Here I am with my soon-to-be Uncle Ryan (not to be confused with my Godfather "Uncle" Ryan.)

IMG_5601IMG_5604

It's me and Grandpa Bob.

After dinner, we went to Grandpa Bob's house to visit Daddy's kitty cat who is living with Grandpa.  I don't have any more pictures because Mommy's camera battery died and she didn't bring the charger with. Whoops!!

Duluth-Thursday

We had a fun and VERY busy day on Thursday.

IMG_5503IMG_5504

I started out the day playing with Grandpa John (since he didn't get home until very late this was the first I had seen him in awhile.)

IMG_5507IMG_5510

We met a bunch of Daddy's friends for lunch at Old Chicago.  Daddy worked with all of them at some point in time (either at the school district or SM/DC.)  We also tooled around canal park.

IMG_5514IMG_5512

After lunch, we stopped by the mall so Mommy could pick up a pair of earrings and change my diaper.  A kind gentleman won a toy duck in the claw machine and gave it to me.  I like the duck.  It is soft.

IMG_5515IMG_5516IMG_5518

Then, we went to David's bridal to meet Auntie Tiffers.  She is getting married this summer and guess what??  I GET TO BE A FLOWER GIRL!!!!!!!  I'm very very excited about this.  We met her at the dress store to check out dresses and get sized for my special dress.  The dress Tiffany picked out is so pretty, but we don't have any pictures of me in it because they only had it in a size 5.  Mama ended up ordering the smallest size that it comes in and she still thinks it's going to need a few inches cut off of the bottom (unless I do some serious growing between now and July 18th!)  I had a blast hanging out at the store with all the mirrors.  I got to climb everything and just had a great time.  I was also very excited to see Tiffany, as I had not seen her since Thanksgiving.

This dress is a size 2.  It was a bit big, but it will have to do.  This isn't the style I'll be wearing though.

IMG_5532 IMG_5536

I napped in the afternoon and then we went to Mommy & Daddy's favorite restaurant in Cloquet for dinner (Mexico Lindo.)  We met a few friends and I even got to meet and hang out with Seth (who is like almost 4 now I think.)  After a delicious dinner and a pitcher of margaritas (for Mommy & Daddy although, I DID try to drink mommy's) we went to the Hanson's house.  It had been a long time since I had seen them and we always have such a fun time.  Ryan is my Godfather and I sure do love him!!  We had tons of fun running around the house, playing, listening to music, dancing and talking.  Ryan is the best Godfather ever.  Here are some pictures of my day and a BUNCH of videos at the bottom.

Yes, I'm drooly, I'm getting another tooth.

IMG_5548IMG_5549

Ryan took me to his room and encouraged me to jump on the bed.  Then, he showed me a funny alarm clock in his brothers room (Mommy said I'm now scarred for life.)  After that I tried on slippers in his cousin's room.  I like slippers, they're warm.

IMG_5553

Finally, we went down the stairs 'big girl style' (standing up) and that was fun.

IMG_5556IMG_5564

Ryan is a music teacher and band director so of course there was more music.  The videos at the bottom show more detail.

IMG_5580IMG_5582

This is the room where a lot of music happens.  When Daddy was in High School with Ryan they were in a band together and they would practice in this room.  There is even a sign still hanging on the wall made by Daddy when he was in High School.

Uncle Ryan says that you have to start young!!

Ryan's Daddy, Ron, is also very talented at the Piano and played for me as well.

It's kind of tradition for Daddy & Ryan to sing me a song.  Daddy didn't know this one so Mommy sang along.  She wouldn't let me put up any video of her singing though, sorry!

I love to dance.
