19 months

Yep, it's time for the monthly photo again.  It's a couple of days late, but Mommy says that I haven't changed that much since the 25th so it'll be ok!  I'm just happy that Mama is no longer doing the weekly photo.

Here I am throwing the 19 month sign off of the table.  Ok, I wasn't throwing it off the table, more like sliding it over the edge to see what would happen.  I do like to throw things though.  Mama and Daddy are working with me on not throwing.  It's hard, because I really enjoy doing it.  I also love to climb things and have just recently learned how to climb to the top of the couch, which is quite dangerous considering it's up against the banister and I could fall over the edge.  Mama is thinking about rearranging the living room.

Snow much fun

Today Mommy and I had plans to meet a friend for lunch. Grandma kept calling and telling Mom all about the snow that was falling and how it was supposed to start coming down really heavy here. Just as we were getting into the car to meet Anna & Elliot for lunch, it started to snow. We decided to stay close to home instead of going across town and boy was Mommy glad that we did. It started coming down like CRAZY and about two (maybe more) inches must have fallen while we were eating. It was pretty scary driving home. After lunch, I watched the snow fall outside of the window. It sure was pretty. Later, we played outside in it while Daddy cleared the driveway.

My friend Ella is going skiing for the first time tomorrow and I don't think they could ask for better weather. Mommy can't wait to take me skiing sometime next year.

I loved being pulled in the snow tube. Here I am watching Daddy & Phil. Daddy likes to help out the neighbors.

Here we are on top of the giant mound of snow in front of Phil's house. Poor Philly can't catch a break. If it's not the city piling it up there, it's the new neighbors with the snowplow on their truck. Such are the pitfalls of cul-de-sac living.

Children's Expo

Mommy, Daddy, Grammy and I went to a Children's Expo on Saturday.  I got a free toothbrush and toothpaste and a new sippy cup that I really like a lot.  They also had someone from Radio Mankato reading books who was clearly not trained in Early Childhood because Mommy wanted to wring his neck.  Anyway, here are a couple of pictures of me playing a beanbag toss game.

Cooking videos

Cooking with Gaa Gaa

Here are some fun pictures of me cooking with Grandma.  I started calling her Gaa Gaa since I can't say Grandma or Grammy (like mommy calls her.)  She's spent a couple of days with us because Mommy and Daddy had to be out of town today.  I like to help out in the kitchen.

My animal farm

Mommy took me to Sweet Peas in Mankato today.  It had been awhile since we had visited and the store just moved to a new location.  I really enjoyed our trip there and had a great time playing in their awesome loft full of toys.  I got to try out some new things that they sell there and mom bought be a few new things.  I got some more animals that talk (like the kitty that Elliot got me for my birthday last year) and I also got a car.  I like to drive it on the coffee table.  Grandma Georgie bought me one of the animals for Valentine's day (she sent me money to get something nice.)

The Cleaning Lady

Today Mommy bought me a little cleaning cart off of Craig's List.  She had been looking at one for me in a magazine but this popped up on the cheap so we had to get it.  As soon as she brought it into the house I went to work.  I didn't even wait for her to bring it upstairs.  You can tell by the dirty entryway that my cleaning help is clearly needed around here.

I also look a little scraggly because I hung out in my pajamas for most of the day.  I'm feeling a little yucky and Mama decided we should take it easy today.

I love bananas

Mommy thought that I didn't like bananas anymore because I wouldn't eat them when she cut them up and gave them to me.  It took her awhile to figure out that I just wanted to eat it myself...right out of the peel.  Just call me a monkey.

Uncle Michael

Today Uncle Michael came to visit me.  Well actually, he didn't come just to visit me, he came to visit me and go skiing with Mommy & Daddy.

Mommy had not been skiing since before her and Daddy got married.  That was a long time ago.  She bought new skis not too long before they got married and only got to use them a few times.  The winter after they were married Mommy was pregnant with me and chose not to ski.  The winter after that she was just too busy with me to find the time.  She kept talking all week about how excited she was to ski again.  She also was a bit worried that she had forgotten how.  Once upon a time she was really really really good (much better than Daddy.)

After they came home Mommy was happy to report that she didn't forget how to ski.  She was disappointed in how small Mt. Kato was and how her skills and bravery ("extreme-ness" as she and Daddy call it) were not quite up to par.  Overall she had a fun day with Daddy and Michael.  When Michael got here I got to play with him and he got to check out our finished basement since he hadn't seen it since we finished the work.  I hadn't seen him in awhile so it was a lot of fun.  Here are some pictures.

Mommy loves the way I'm looking up at Michael in this picture.  After Michael left, Mommy, Daddy, Grammy, Papa & I went out for a Valentine's day dinner and then G&P left to go back home.  It was a fun day!

Another day

Today Mommy and I met some friends and played together at the mall.  After we played, some of us stayed and had lunch together.  Mommy was happy to run into her friend Gretchen along with her daughter Neva.  Neva's Daddy was just deployed to Iraq for a year and I'm going to get to play with Neva a few times while her Mommy runs errands and gets some free time.  I'm super excited because Neva is a little younger than me and it's fun to play with people my age.

This afternoon, Grammy & Papa came to visit me.  Papa had a few Doctor appointments and after he was finished with them they came to watch me while Mommy & Daddy went to a very very late Holiday Party.  Here are some pictures of me taken today.

Making my own Pizza

Tonight for dinner we made our own Pizza.  It was super easy to do and a lot of fun for me to help out with.  First, we smooshed out the crust.  Next, we added pizza sauce and pizza spices.  After that, we added the toppings that we wanted.  I picked pepperoni, Canadian bacon, pineapple and cheese.  Mommy had me try the tomato and black olives, but I didn't care for them.  Finally, we added the cheese and baked them in the oven.  When they were done and cooled down, we got to eat them.  DELISH!

Here I am eating the pineapple before I put it on my pizza.  I really like pineapple.

Now I'm putting it on my very own mini pizza.

That's a lot of pineapple!

A Valentiney day

Today at Class I brought valentines for my friends.  Mommy helped me deliver them to my friends and teachers.  It was a lot of fun.  She also had me wear a very heart filled outfit.

Here I am playing in the row boat.  I have a hard time getting in and out of it.  Luckily Mommy is usually there to help me.

Our weekend

Yesterday, Mommy, Daddy and I went car shopping.  Daddy was trying to convince Mommy that they should buy a mini van for their next vehicle because of all the room I take up (and how much they like to take lots of people with when we go places.)  Mommy reluctantly agreed to try one out (along with the Chrysler Pacifica.)  I won't tell you the results, but they did manage to agree upon a vehicle, eventually.

Today, I rode my antique horsey all by myself.  Daddy taught me how to get on it by myself too, even though I'm a little small for it.  The horse used to be Mommy's when she was a little girl.  Here are a couple of pictures of me.

Daddy dressed me

But it's not as bad as you would think.  Last time he dressed me, Mommy was working a school open house and he was supposed to put me in something cute and bring me.  Well I showed up in an ugly printed onesie, red capri pants, white socks, white robeez sandals, and a pink velour hoodie.  Needless to say, Daddy hadn't been allowed to dress me since, until today.

Daddy picked this outfit out for me at Macy's last weekend while Mommy and Daddy were there without me.  I wore it today and got lots of compliments.  I guess I should get some sporty shoes now that I'm sporty bean.

I love corn!

Mommy, Grammy & I went out to lunch at Famous Dave's on Thursday.  I kept pointing to something on Grandma's plate and whining but she didn't figure out that I wanted the corn until I had one of everything on my tray.  I had part of Grammy's corn and all of Mommy's.  It was really good.  I think I may have surprised Grammy with my eating skills.  Mommy wasn't too surprised that I could do it because she's seen Elliot nom the corn before.  I got pretty messy, but it was delicious and worth it.

IMG_5303IMG_5305IMG_5304

I've also learned how to smile on command.  Just like mommy, whenever anyone says smile, I break out my biggest cheesiest (well in this case "corniest") smile.
